Mild side effects may occur with any medication. The most common side effects of semaglutide include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and constipation. These are usually mild and may improve within a few days of starting treatment.

FDA clinical studies have shown average patients taking semaglutide and tirzepatide will lose 15-22.5% of their starting weight after 16 months. Individual results will vary based on factors like diet, exercise, age, gender, and other individual circumstances.

Your medication is shipped in climate-controlled packaging. It includes medication vials and extra syringes, alcohol wipes, instructions for self-drawing and self-administering the shots, and storage requirements.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. Take your next dose 7 days later. If more than 3 days have passed, take your next dose as soon as you remember and make that day your new day to administer your weekly injections. Your new regular injection schedule will follow every 7 days from that day.

We include some excess product to account for any minor loss while drawing up shots into the syringes. This medication expires 28-days after the seal has been punctured when drawing up the first shot from the vial. Any excess medications should be immediately discarded after your 4th shot. You are not charged for this extra product that is intended to be thrown away.

No, patients may not come into a Red Mountain location to receive DirectMed injections.

You will be billed every 28 days when we refill your prescription for your next 4 weekly shots. You must call us to ask about any adjustments to your next month’s dosage or to cancel your subscription. We cannot make any changes after we have processed your prescription refill for your next month’s shipment.

It’s important to never dispose of needles in the trash or recycling bin, as this poses a safety risk to others. The safest way for you to dispose of needles used for your medication is to discard them in a disposable plastic container (e.g., empty water bottle with the cap on it).
